Redefining Healthy-Part1

Healthy - the great abstraction of the modern era
The word “healthy” is perhaps the most misunderstood and misused term in today’s world of human affairs. Why? Because this term is an abstraction, a generalization of countless ideas and opinions. Yet, we all seem to agree that the word “healthy” represents something positive, welcomed, and necessary in our lives, both consciously and unconsciously. With this basic agreement to see it as welcomed and necessary, there arises an opportunity for everyone to attach this abstract, positive label to ideas and products, making them all seem like welcomed necessities.
With the collapsing, already impotent “healthcare” system and the lack of awareness and knowledge among common people, there is an ever greater opportunity to offer “one size fits all” and “easy formulas” that continue to expand. As a result, completely unnecessary food items, supplements, and medications pile up on kitchen shelves and in human bodies, causing malfunction, confusion, and another diagnosis (another opportunity for selling harmful drugs and procedures).
Stimulants and biohacking products are on the rise.
Aggressive and invasive techniques are proliferating.
Even overstimulating breathwork and freezing one’s body are now used to get some kick since caffeine and other drugs has exhausted the endocrine system and does not work like it used to in the beginning. But hey! Those are all celebrated as healthy. Scientific literature says so. Influencers say so. Doctors say so. Health organizations say so. Parents say so. Schools say so. Governments say so.
My personal observation (not complaints) - indeed, there are a few who understand this situation and stand strong in the winds of mass ignorance to support those in need, but most so-called “health professionals, nutritionists, and conventional therapists” are blindly repeating false beliefs coming from one or another school, consciously or unconsciously representing the interests of food, drug, or other industries and fanatic collective dogmas.
Let us be honest with ourselves.
Conventional ways have failed us. Despite medical and technological “advancements,” human health is collapsing at an ever faster rate. This joyful moment of life is like sand slipping through our fingers while we are fighting for health and happiness. However pessimistic this sounds it is just a simple observation and the reality for most people now.
Being honest and aware is the first step. For change to come we have to let go of deep ingrained ideologies to develop plasticity of perception and find some sense in nonsense.
It is time to redefine “healthy.”
Simply put - Healthy is that which fits the situation.
Breathing is Healthy. Breathing under water without oxygen mask...you got it. You see - for every action we take, for everything we consume, for every momentous change we make, proper timing and assessment are of utmost importance. Otherwise, we could just blend all the "healthy" ideologies, diets, all the superfoods, and all the practices together and drink that slimy mixture up, wondering why it does not work while further damaging our health and breeding frustration - and that is exactly what is happening right now in this society - out of despair to get healthy.
Clarity is crucial.
The following questions must be answered confidently before starting anything directed towards health:
Why?
How?
When?
How well do I know myself, and how well do I know this thing I am going to implement?
Is this the proper time?
Am I honest with myself?
Is this “healthy” tool or just an easy, trendy, and cheap way of avoiding real work and change, or does it get to the roots of the situation?
This is the beginning of a multi-part series on “Healthy.” For now, there are important questions to contemplate on.
More clarity will be introduced.
To be continued.
